So just bought another tank today (couldnt pass it up for the price)

    Mechanicly it is

    *55 long
    *HOB coralife skimmer
    *HOB filter of some kind
    *2, old skool power heads
    *2,55w actinic blue evening lights
    *2,10,000k 65w coralife
*coralife light (power suply????) i have no idea, but it looks spendy lol.
*Super nice black stank and hood

    Livestock.

    *65LBS LR
    *100LBS LS
    *15 head of frog spawn
*50 or better different color shrooms
*some crazy soft coral idk what it is (ill get some pics up)
    *tiny coral beauty
*zebra damsel (gunna go to the LFS)

    Got it for $500.

Cleaned the sand up (but when i set the tank up it still got pretty stired up) aquascaped it very nice.

1 broke a bulb in the transport :-(.

But i want to take the damsel back, put my BTA in it, with my perc clowns, and my goby.

    (4 fish total)

Is this tank big enough for a smaller blue hippo tang?
    tank is 50" Long.

    a few pictures coming soon.

its not big enough to keep any tang indefinately but if you have your heart set on it you could probably keep him a few years, just be aware that he might get violent in a smaller tank

congrats on the purchase sounds like a great deal!

honestly i think you can keep a small tang in your 55 gallon, many people have mixed opinions. for example, blue tangs get to 12+" but HONESTLY how often do you see them at that size? it takes a while to grow with a 55 gallon aquarium anyways, just make sure to give them a lot of swimming room, maybe if only 25% of the tank is aquascaped and then you can bring it back once it outgrows your tank, amazing deal, happy reefing
