my koralia powerhead making loud noise???

im just setting up my tank.finally

i have 2 koralia powerheads.model 2 & 3 but the model 2 when i attatch it to the tank it make a loud vibrating noise?

 

That's odd..I was expecting you to say that it chattered when you started it up. May be a dumb question but are you sure it's not leaning up against something? Is the cover on all the way?

 

I have two #2 Koralias and I do notice one of them makes a bit of noise, which does get on my nerves at times. It's like a small buzzing noise.

When I first got the pumps they were both silent, other than a very low hum that was hard to hear unless you were really listening for it. After clearning them out after 5 months of use, one of them started the buzzing.

Make sure to take it apart and check out the impeller and housing, make sure the housing is on tight.

i took it apart and made sure the casing was on tight and it just keeps making a really loud buzzing/vibrating sound.may have to get a new one as it is second hand.
