I was wondering why my Green bubble tip was stretching itself out so far in back of the tank. I went and looked, and now instead of one, I have three! Holy cow and its in a 28 gal nano! My naked clown keeps switching from each one!

FTS: One on top of the rock:

Another on the left side withe the clown:

and 2 more on the right!:

I know the RBT with split often, but from what I have read, the GBT doesn't do this to often in captivity. Especially 2x!

Congrats! That is great - especially in a nano. 8)
How long have you had the anemone? Hold old was the tank when you added it? What kind of lighting? Do you feed it?

I think I'll stop there for now. :) lol Nice tank too!

The tank has been up for about a year. The anenome has been in there about 2 months. The lighting is PC lights that came with the JBJ nano.

What's funny, it I originally bought the nem for a maroon clown I had in the 155. but he ignored it. So, on the way home from work one day I stopped by my LFS and got a different one. So, i put the GBT in the nano, temporarily till I got back to the LFS to return it. My naked clown hosted it, and kinda kept forgetting to return it. I fed it about once every 2 weeks with a little fresh shrimp or a squuze of mysis. (from a turkey baster I use for feeding time)
I know its too much for a nano, but everything is doing so great, my parameters are all fine. So I leave it alone. I don't even have a skimmer in there! I know I should though. Even my pulsing Xenia's are growing like crazy! You can see it in the FTS. It started as a small frag with 3 stalks in February of this year!

No need to return now, eh? :) But maybe you will be selling the lfs some anemones down the road!

Waiting a year was a smart move. In my experience that does make a difference. I had a Ritteri in my 30 long back in the 90's. I don't remember how long I waited before adding it but I had it for several years. Then many years later I tried to have another in a hex tank I set up with a halide. I was pretty arrogant about it in hindsight as I was not thinking about the maturity of that tank much. I remember thinking... well I have a halide and nice random flow - 'Go for it!' Well, needless to say, it did not live long. So with my latest tank I am waiting a full year before adding one of these farm-raised BTAs they sell at my LFS.

Anyway, that is a cool nano and congrats on the split. I recall how they like occasional feeding and bet that helped. If your parameters are good I would not sweat it much. What is your water change routine?

I change about 5 gallons about every 6 weeks, and top off about once a week. With the lid closed, there isn't much evaporation. I know I should leave it open for the gas exchange, but like I said, its been doing just fine and until something starts to go bad, I'll worry about it then! Since its been this way for so long, I figure leave well enough alone.
I do dose with the 2 part alk/cal solution about once every two weeks though.

The tang doesn't belong in there. He belongs in my 155, he's in a "time out" He was pickin on my purple tang in the 155. So, instead of putting him in the sump, I put him in there for now.
