my fish wish list is this ok???

    once my tank has finished cycling i would like to add the following.
    are all theses ok?


    4 cleaner shrimp
    4 hermit crabs
    2 tank-bred occlaris clown fish
    2 blue chromis
    1 yellow clown goby
    1 royal gramma



    should i add no more than theses or could i add a few more?
    i have a 40 gallon tank.

    oh btw i moved some of the rock around lastnight and heres a pic of it today.

    Hold off on the fish for now.. any way you can make a sump? that will ake your fish population go up and get that skimmer and heater out of your tank.

    hold off on the fish for now?????? hmmm i did state that i wont be adding any fish untill its cycled.thats why its my fish wish list for what i want in the future.i dont want a sump maybe somewhere down the line tho.:)

    thats ok.

    well today is the first time i have tested the water.just tested the ammonia and its gone a creamy yellowish /green and the colour insnt even on the chart???? is this normal

    what is your test kits maker? I use API and highly recommend them.

    Also sometimes you really gotta shake the hell out of it to get a good reading.. ;D

    whats that black box in the back right of the tank.. if its an overflow, you need to be using that..

    yeah im using the api marine test kit i did really shake it but it went all foamy but the rest didnt.

    Your list looks fine. Add them slowly. Chromis prefer to be in groups of odd numbers and a lot of ppl have trouble keeping, just letting you know. Try to add them in order from least aggressive to most aggressive. I don't know if you are getting a nem or something for your clowns to possibly host...just a thought.

    What are all your params? If the color is in between two colors then take the average. If its between 15 and 25, call it 20.

    just tested my params this is the first time i have tested the tank

    the ph is 7.8
    sg- 1.023
    nitrite 0
    nitrate 0

    but this is strange the ammonia test went a creamy yellowish/ green and the result wasnt on the chart??

    what does this mean??
