Yes zesty they are slightly angled due to me ordering 70 dollars worth of glass an 1/8 too long. The first baffle is angled one way and the other three the opposite. So my refugium is widest in front and slightly narrows in back. I kind of like the look of it. I've read this won't affect the flow but time will tell.

Quick update here. Tank has been running for one week now. Salinity is at 1.025, powerheads running, skimmer is breaking in nicely. Tossed in a shrimp to start the cycle. Ammonia is testing at .50 ppm. Just waiting now. Still need a light for refugium and need to take care of a few minor things like timers and such. Hoping to get a couple pieces of live rock from the guy who sold me the tank soon. Here's my plan on stock list. Let me know your thoughts and if any of these species won't work together. Also i need to know what order to put them in.

    2 perc. Clownfish
    1 yellow tang
    3 blue chromis
    1 Springeri dottyback
1 Pistol and 2 peppermint shrimp

I dont want to overstock and I know 75 is a min. for the tang but that's probably my favorite fish out of all of them. As far as corals there are so many I'm overwhelmed lol. I mostly find myself liking the lps and polyps right now. Well let me know what you all think of the stock list. Thanks for your time. 20140727_203138.jpg

I have heard that Chromis will kill the weaker ones if they are kept in a group. I dont know if this is true.

I have read that too. Some people have success and in other tanks they will kill each other off. I also just read that the springeri dottyback may eat shrimp so I might switch that to a orchid dottyback.

I've had good luck with my Chromis (three of them) in which one of them is significantly smaller than the other two, but they all get along. Nice build so far!

    Its looking real good!
    I like the 2 islands ..
I have also heard mixed things about chromis ..
I may even be tempted to try 6 or 10 now that i see CBS has had success

Tank looks great, very nice start. My Orchard dotty back is a model citizen, nice and mellow

Hey everyone, quick update again. The tank is now a month into cycling. Ammonia and nitrite are almost testing at 0 ppm. I just turned on the Led lights yesterday.10 hrs a day. Is this too much?

In the meantime I gave the stand a fresh paint job, added a small door on the side of the stand so I can get at my timer and electrical if I need to. I also painted the pvc drain black to match the stand. Looks a ton better now.

I will probably do a 50% water change this weekend and 10-20% weekly after that. Does this sound right? I am looking for suggestions on a clean up crew. How many critters should I be starting off with? I dont want to put too many in and have them starve.
Here are a couple pics with the lights on. Thank you for all the help! 1408750808761.jpg 1408750897479.jpg
