Zoas can be placed anywhere. Preferably near the bottom of the tank!

Yup, zoas like to be pretty much anywhere except where water flow is ridiculously high.

They can handle a LOT of bright light as long as you acclimate them slowly--- meaning, don't put them at the top of your tank to start with.

Also, the worst thing you could do to them is to put them somewhere that junk could pile up on them (detritus/fish poo). I have lost a few zoas that were in places where junk could get on them and not be washed away.

I tend to keep them in medium flow b/c my two tanks both have a lot of water flow.

The middle of my tank has about 50 types of zoas all on the sand. Its my zoas "garden" so nope not bad at all.

well i put the zoa on the live rock, in middle height of the tank. How fast will it grow?
Do they move at all? or are they like plants? Should i be concern on feeding them?

I haven't fed mine for about a year and they are doing great. I have them under mh. It may depend on what type of zoa you have..I'm not sure.
