My big bad clowns!

So tonight when the my clowns were going to bed they found a surprise. One of my emerald crabs decided that their bed was a great place to park himself and eat for a while. Needless to say my clowns were not happy. They kept swimming around him and going crazy all the while the crab just sits there and waves his claws around. My female finally got fed up with it all, swam up to the crab, turned around and whacked him with her tail. She then proceeded to use her tail and blast a water jet at him until he moved. It was very comical to watch. When the crab finally did move, she immediately went to the spot and did the little clown dance where they twitch like crazy. Just had to share.

 

Hahaha how cute!! Clowns are so funny. She better watch out - that crab might have a chip on his shoulder now! Thanks for sharing!

 

ya they seem to be very terretorial. My clows bites me when i put my hand in my tank. Comes at me at lightning speed too..

My chromis swims sideways above the head of any of my fish while tail batting that try to intimidate it.

 

Haha,too funny,they definately earn thier name,mine sleeps flat on his side ontop of my mag float.For as common as they are,still one of my favorite fish.

 

Clown are great personality fish. What a cool story there!

My Perc hosts a orange monty like it is his best friend.

 

I thought there would be a little territory dispute when my angel decided the clowns bed was a good place for his... But all three sleep right beside each other. I think the angel confused himself for a clown haha. They are inseparable.

It was a riot to watch. I think I know why she was so aggressive now. I looked at her today and man is her belly huge. It looks like she swallowed a marble or something. I'm wondering if they are about to lay eggs. She was going crazy with that spot last night cleaning and everything.
