My astrea snail spawning (video)

    I noticed this guy perched on a ledge, standing straight up and releasing a milky substance.

    I'm not sure if this is common or not, but I thought I'd post the video anyway.

    Curious, did you do anything different like a water change or leave the pumps off and turn them back on?

    This happened yesterday. I didn't do a water change. The pumps are off for 10 minutes while I feed my fish, but I do that everyday and this is the first time I've seen one of my snails do this. The tank is almost a year old.

    Temperature fluctuations can also cause snails to spawn, but according to my computer the tank temperature did not fluctuate.
