Nice scape...I like the idea of the whole back wall of rock....no scraping needed.
    Great progress.

    Thanks Steve!

Thank you. It should definitely make sticking macros and corals a breeze. I figure all I need is some putty and plastic toothpicks. I plan on making bases for the coral and running a pick through it, let the putty cure/harden, attach the coral frag, coat the toothpick with glue and poke it into the foam. Same for macros but I'll just glue them directly to the picks. :)

Well no need to wonder anymore about the return. In two words..glue joints. :) It ran for 30 seconds and blew apart at an elbow.

16 water cooler jugs and four 5 gallon buckets filled at home and hauled down to the store. The thing is full and WET! I'm about 17 cups of salt short of what I think it'll take to get to 1.025 so a trip to Sioux Falls is in order.
I just realized this thing is going to finish cycling right around the best time of year for shipping livestock ;D

At least it wasn't 30 seconds after you walked out of the room.

LOL. I've had enough floods at home to make me pretty anal about the plumbing in this tank. We lease the space the store is in and the owner, though he agreed to letting me do this, wasn't thrilled by it and the potential flood. I was there for 3 hours watching for leaks, making adjustments, simulating power outages etc. Still didn't get much sleep last night and had my daughter go check it out this morning early. :)

This is a great build, Mike! It's not much coming from me, but I'm very proud of you and the way you're moving along with pretty much everything. I'm very glad for you, my friend. The scape looks awesome, the lock line will definitely do a good job and give you the flexibility of easy adjustments.... stand, canopy and sump all look great. Congratulations on a well thought out and planned all-around design!!!

Thanks Mag! It's cycling for true now. ;D I took some big xenia frags and some gsp to the LFS and got a 200 gallon box of salt and to my huge suprise, the owner gave me two brand new UVL 454 VHO's for my birthday! Actually I had pick of any thing up to $75 and that's what I chose so I don't have to worry about getting them online. :)
So I got the sg up to 1.025 and dropped a couple big deli shrimp in a new panty hose and dropped it in the tank in a high flow area. Let the stinky begin!! LOL

Congrats on the birthday present. Glad you were watching the plumbing.
