The last sets of pics show the water a little cloudy. A couple days after they were taken I couldn't see the back wall even standing as close as right up to the tank. I thought maybe it was suspended particles from redoing the aquascape and not rinsing the dry rock. So I set up a canister filter with nothing but pads and sponges in it. When there was no improvement after 24 hours I knew it could only be a bacterial bloom. The water looked like some one had dumped a half cup of milk into it.
Last Thursday I went to my LFS and he set me up with a 25W Lifegard UV. It was an in line unit off of one of their systems and needed a bulb and ballast. I'm waiting for them to come in but their cost is all I paid for the set up. He also gave me a 24W Green Killing Machine, brand new in the box to use in the meantime. For a "disposable" unit it is actually doing it's job. After 3 days of use the water is not crystal clear but has returned to about what it is in the last set of pics.

The water finally cleared enough to get some decent pics and while I had the camera out Gary the Fighting Conch decided to take a cruise and climbed over a good sized piece of Tonga. :)

    Thanks!

    He is big :)

He does a real good job at keeping the gravel and lower glass pretty clean. They are omnivores and he's always sifting through the sand cleaning up algae and detritus. He either sifted away are ate up a small patch of cyano that was developing on the sand bed.
He's always on the move and can climb the rocks surprisingly well.

Guess I'll put up some new pics since things have settled and I "get to" keep it. :)

We'll start off with a recent FTS....

This is the color morph I got from taking a red encrusting Monti out from under ATI's & UVL's and putting it under 10K 250W MH. The picture doesn't do the color justice, it's actually a very nice peachy/pink.

One of 5 frags I cut from my ORA Red Hyacinth before I took it to the person who bought the mother out of the 46. Took the cuttings down low so he wouldn't notice...SSSSHHHH ;)
Also another rock with two more cuttings on it.
