It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Yes, when they grow those black horns and a beard you know they have gone bad.

Add it to the list of not invert safe, bummer. Good luck catching the little bugger.

Sadly it may come down to deadly removal. I hope not, I really hope not but it's not like I can take the rocks out to get at him.
He began harassing the chromis today as well. I wish I could have been one of the lucky that got a docile Falco. :(

Luckily the 3rd try was the charm and I was able to net the Falco while he was sleeping. He now is in my fuge. I've tried the past two nights to get him while he was sleeping and tonight he chose a spot to sleep that allowed me to completely cover him with the net.

So glad you got him and didn't have to hurt him! Hawkfish can be quite mean - sorry you got one of those!

But congrats for getting him out! That takes talent! :)

Thanks for the compliment but if it had been talent I coulda caught him yesterday during the afternoon feeding. LOL
This was 100% luck. For some reason he decided to sleep between the front glass and korilia. I simply slid the net over everything and he shot right in.

Too bad about the fish but lucky you got it out without too much fuss.

Thanks Sky! I cut part of the scape out to make more room on the right front.
It's funny but I actually felt bad putting the hawk into the fuge.

Don't worry about the hawk, Mike. If he can't play by the rules, time out is a good way to remind them that there are rules. If he still acts like he doesn't care, take him back. The tank looks great, by the way I wish I had the same scape technique in my narrow 55g.... Good luck with the algae. Maybe a couple esmerald (mithrax) crabs can take care of it, but crabs are also a gamble as u know.
