I added the phosban reactor from two little fishes because my phospahtes skyrocketed this week. I also introduced carbon to my system to filter out any impurities. Phoshates were at .3 after two large water changes which only can mean that it was quite higher before. Suspect that it reached .6. Had tossed quite a bit of my sps. Which Im pretty sad about. I had spilled a tiny amount of pvc glue in my sump and it caused this wild reaction. Not too sure. Unless phosphates were building up overtime and its all pure coincidence but I doubt it. Humbles me and reminds me that theres always challenges to overcome in this hobby. But corals are looking happier now. Not quite a 100% but getting better.

Dont want to post pics of unhappy coral cause its like taking a picture of somebody in the hospital.

could be mistaken but im certain that this is the cause of death for quite a bit of my sps.

heres a pic of the phosban reactor at least.

Sorry for your loss :( How are you liking the TLF reactor? I added a nextreef MR1 on my tank. It appears to be a sturdy well built unit a little more expensive but I got a good deal on it. Still thinking about another reactor for carbon and may go with the TLF brand.

Well its been sometime since I moved my tank. I now have a different aquascape.

Also tank has fully recovered from a couple of tragedies. Notice that almost all my monti caps are gone. and quite a few others are gone. Plus some coral were smashed during the move.

    So heres some pics.

    Its a shame about the Monti's Tatted4ever
they looked great the way you had them on the inside walls it made it very out of the ordinary IMO

looks good though - how long do you light acclimatise those SPS you have before placing them where you want them?

Sorry to hear about the phosphate/SPS problems tatted, I hope all is on the mend! I have the navy to thank for not being able to see any of the photos in your thread, but I am using my imagination, and it looks great. haha

I may need to get a phosphate reactor sometime soon, if so, I will toss ya a pm for some advise. If you want a data point on Calcium reactors, I have a Korralin 1502 and it works very well (too well at the moment actually, I had to turn it off since my CA/ALK load is not keeping up with the supply, not enough corals!).

ps. your new avatar is a riot!
