    Ugh. Well, after 6 months, I finally have enough coin to start my 75 that has been sitting on the porch and, low and behold, the damn thing is cracking out in the sun!!!  :eek: :p :-[

    Apparently, sitting empty, the tank expands and contracts in the sun, this has caused cracks in the top and bottom bracing that close and open during the day.

    I have contacted All Glass and they were as surprised as I was. They want more pictures which I will send this weekend.

    Crap. Well, if All Glass doesn't help out, I guess I have the excuse to euro-brace it now. Big job, but I don't have much choice do I?

    [glow=Maroon, 2, 80%]Oh Matt,

    I'm so sorry to hear about that. That really sucks. Maybe ALL GLASS will come through for you. They are a very good company. I owned an ALL GLASS 75 before I got this Oceanic 58, and I was really satisfied with it.

    Your other alternative is euro-bracing? That sucks too. But what can you do? Man I'm sorry. I wish I could do more to help. Jeez... [smiley=bigcry.gif]

    Thats a bummer dude... [smiley=end.gif] [smiley=toilet.gif] [smiley=worried.gif] [smiley=worried2.gif] [smiley=wreck.gif][/glow]

    Ever see the effect sun has on glass bottles in the desert?  The expanding and contracting is a real problem as glass is a great conductor of heat/cold.  Real bummer Matt!

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

    We are not aloud to have cracks or leaks.

    That's too bad Matt, but I'm sure AGA will come through for you. They sure have come through for me in the past.
    I guess you could look at the bright side and be glad there wasn't any water of fish in it.

    Great to hear your getting another tank up.

    Keep us updated

    Did you ever hear back from AGA? I was just wondering if they are going to honor their guarantee or void it because it had been sitting dry for so long? Please keep us posted... :-[

    They asked for more pics, so I am getting those out to them this weekend. We will see what they say, and I'll follow up here.
