Let me know if you need any help with anything while you are gone if a situation arises your roommate might need help with.

So i have found what seems to be a Cirratulid "hair" worm in my tank and have no idea if this is a good thing or a bad thing. So anyone know if i should get out the can of Raid or let him be?

So I have had this frogspawn for upward of 6 months and have seen no growth from it. I feel it may not be getting enough light where it is in my tank so i rearranged 3 corals today.

I moved my frogspawn up a little and out from under some other rock so it should get more light but it is still mid tank so i don't think it will be too much.

I moved my Blastomusa again, I feel sorry for this coral. It was shipped to me by mistake so I was not ready for it at all. I originally had it on a rock about an inch above the sandbed and decided it may have been getting too much light with a little help from my 3Reef friends. So I moved it to a shadier spot and i haven't seen any changes in it but i have noticed my blood red shrimp likes to stand on it. So I moved it to under an overhang a little more shaded and hopefully not the brs's new home.

I also moved a hairy mushroom to where the frogspawn was because it was too close to my blastos new home and I has already divided since I got it recently and I don't want it to grow too fast and take over my tank.

Is there any really good resource for reading about coral's specific needs? I would like to read more about the blastos to see if there is anything more I can try to help it grow.

that happens md :) what did you get?

are you in driving distance to them? You probably are if you're near civic. What a great resource to have nearby.

It's about 20 minutes away. I wish it was a walk-in type store. It would be my LFS of choice.

I got a couple different Montipora: purple & gold cap, sunset cap, purple undata
a couple different zoas, names are probably wasted here as well as not remembered o_O
    and a purple bonsai acropora
    all are frags

All are frags and there is no picture other than the 1&1/2 hour video.

People sure were upset with me though, although they didn't know it. I was Johnny On The Spot with my purchases, usually having checked out before he was done describing the pieces. I guess it helped that I knew what I was looking for.

I will get pictures up as soon as I get the frags in my possession.

Mindy you should take a weekend sometime and run up and visit, with appointment, but make sure Civic is around so you can stop at his place and see his tank. It is definitely worth a stop to see it.

So I have some pictures of my new frags. I ended up buying more than 10% of everything on the live sale from saturday. I am a little bit embarrassed by this and also very proud to have beat everyone else at the same time.

Peace Passion Zoa 6 polyps The sixth polyp is a hitchhiker of a different kind there on the bottom left.

Pink and Gold Zoanthid 6 polyps These are a little brownish right now but new polyps are supposed to be very pink and under actinic the white specks glow like stars.
    RPZ.jpg
Red and Purple Zoanthid 7 polyps By far my favorite of the zoas i got. The picture does them no justice.
    PYM.jpg TOP PYM.jpg
Purple and Yellow Montipora Again the pictures don't do much justice especially seeing how you can't tell it is purple at all.
    SM.jpg TOP SM.jpg
Sunset Montipora The first picture shows the color much better but the top down shows it a little better. It is the best looking monti i got, in person.
    PMU.jpg
Purple Montipora Undata By far the worst one for how the pictures turned out. I took more photos of this one than any other and you can barely tell the color.

Purple Bonsai Acropora I have been eyeballing this coral for quite some time and when I saw the great price for it on the live sale, I couldn't pass it up. Very excited to have this one thus I saved it for last.

    Thanks for looking!
