It is a dry heat, yeah right !
That is a very nice tank salsilito25.

Looks very healthy, nice mix of corals and fish colors. The chromis adds a lot of color.

How in the world are you keeping the coralline from growing on the back?

Well Idk... lol. I do have a pumpkin urchin that snacks on it.. I do scrape it off the glass time to time..

Ok am at work and will get you the correct calcium names but been using Kent marine CA. Then started using the 2 part bionic and noticed the Coraline algae took off like rocket. But for the most part I think thee urchin eats it other than me scraping it off the glass..

was just really trying to express sorrow for the two beautiful fish that were lost. how does one figure lava rock is leaching metals in to my tank, a common rookie mistake when i've seen it done successfully in a lot of tanks. the nem was my first addition to the tank and has been thriving actually, i just havent fed him in over a week because he is growing too large. when i purchased him he was bleech white and about the size of a baseball, now he is full of zoox and about the size of a grapefruit and has doubled the number of tenticals, i'd like to see how that is considererd unhealthy. i've put a lot of money into my little biocube since losing my two dogs, and so far i havent had any major problems except diatoms and the occasional gha. besides, i also have a personal gripe against pet shops and how they over stock their tanks, i wish home owners would consider the same thats all i comment

There are two ways to go about telling someone they made/are making a mistake: Negative or positive criticism.

Negative criticism is usually just bashing which is good for no one.
Positive is a way that seems to offer up criticism in a friendly, constructive way.

3reef, in my short stint here, is almost always a friendly place and your posts are anything but. No one is saying you're WRONG. However, the way you come across (arrogant and hateful), is. You don't have to change your view but I will suggest changing your tune a bit :)

    /off topic

OP, awesome nano. You MIGHT have 1 or 2 too many fish but if they're healthy and thriving, I don't think anyone has the room (pun intended) to tell you to change anything.

is your phos reactor the same thing as your skimmer? on your first post you showed a picture of the mods you made. Just also trying to find ways to improve the over all quality of my aquarium but I don't believe a skimmer is needed for such a small tank with a small bio load, thoughts on this?[negative and positive] and i dont understand a chiller for such a small tank either, i'd love one but they are too expensive and a good heater is all i need for stable tank temp. as far as a phos reactor, im still such a newb i dont really know what they are used for, but when i dose my tank, i just squirt some Cora-Vit in to one of the power heads. Been doing this for months and so far everything is growing like beautiful weeds
