Well my tanks been going for the better part of a year now and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it now. I've had quite a few problems including ich, that nuked my tank, and at one point it was taken over with worms/aiptasia/algae. So I took out the rocks to try getting rid of everything but that was much harder then I realized so I tossed the rocks in the snow and started fresh. Thats why its looking very bare at the moment. I'm not all that knowledgeable with this so I tend to just buy stuff and through it in and see how it goes. So any advice on how to spruce up the tank is greatly appreciated as it is sitting in the middle of my condo so it is quite the eye sore when its dirty.

    The livestock includes:
    -six line wrasse
    -blue tang
    -yellow tang
    -diamond goby
    -cortez stingray
    -couple mushrooms
-some random soft corals I thought looked cool (if you know the names feel free to let me know)

    The equiptment includes:
-120 gallon display with side mounted overflow to 60 gallon sump
-sunlight tek system with 8 54 watt bulbs
    -bubble king 160 skimmer
-2 tunze nanostream powerheads with multicontroller (1 power adapter is burnt out if anyone has one for sale :))
-36watt coral life uv sterilizer w/ 700gph pump(bulb is burnt at the moment)
    -1800gph return pump

That is a good start. I would just buy dead rock instead of live to keep your cycling to a minimum as you add rock in. Lots cheaper also. Will be live in a couple months or less.

    Sounds like a good setup.

Feel free to ask us before adding anything.

I was looking through my phone and found some old pictures and wanted to give you guys a look at how crazy I went the first month after I cycled the tank. It was easily over a 2 thousand dollar lesson well learned and remembered. I didn't bother taking any pictures of the mess that followed.

Wow it was certainly overloaded, esp. for a new tank but sure it looked sweet. :)
