mushroom turning gooey?UPDATE PICS!!!

hey guys my mushrooms are turning gooey after i had it for like 2 months.

im not sure whats going on but it happened 2 days after i used aptasiaX was i suppose to not use alot? because i only used 4 MLs.

but they said that to use till all the aptasia are gone, but i was using it for majeno anemones...
this pics was before the shrooms took the hit the red gono was sold before this happened

i was using the aptasia x as the instructions say to. i should i do a 30% water change? i did a 10 g water change yesterday please help me!


and admins can you post this thread in the ASAP section? I'm really stumped

 

That definitely could be the problem, they are dying. I would remove them before they cause an ammonia spike.

 

i just did a 15g water change, but i cant remove them. can i just suck them up? thats what I've been doing. how much would cause an ammonia spike?

 

Definitely keep sucking them up.

I am not sure on the ammonia question. Depends on size and the health of your system. Err on the side of caution here.

 

Update, it seems as if all the shrooms are efftected by it. I woke up this morning and I saw 4 that I've never touched turning gooey. For sure ill post some pics this might an ASAP thread. Ill keep this updated..

 

How were you using the aiptasia-x?

 

+1 on how aiptasia x is being used? but also ive used way more aiptasia x than that at a time woops but ive never had a problem with my shrooms i know if you get it direclty on it they die but never foom just getting the pesky anemones.

 

I doubt its from the aptasia x. Stress from water quality or moving tanks would be my guess.. But as you said they've been in for awhile now.

 

I was using it with their needles. I shook the bottle vigoriously, sucked up the amount I want to use which was 2 ml applied on the mojeno anemone oral disk, but was watching for the tenacles to grab ahold of the needle then I applied. Could it be that I had a bad batch or out of date aptasia x? I haven't checked the date yet so.... and if you guys want to know my equipment here it is

Aquareef skimmer rated for 150g
2little fishes with wm ecobak pellets
Caniister filter with chemipure elite and 2 bags of carbon
2x boostled mu fixtures
150watt 20k mh fixture

 

anyone know whats happening?!?!? and i put a fresh bbag of carbon in 2 days ago
