We've got a green fuzzy mushroom about as big around as a golf ball. Anyway lately its been turning into sort of a cone shape during the night time hours when the day lights are off and we can see what looks like 3 or 4 tiny mushrooms under the big one. When the lights are on the big one opens like normal and covers them completely. Will the big one pick up and move once they reach a certain size? We've never seen one multiply and were just curious how the process goes.

yup, thats how it goes, mushrooms are still my favorite coral, you'll have more than you know what to do with eventually, you can speed the process up by peeling(gently) the large one and moving him
