So, I decreased my hours of white led light from about 14-->10 and moved my light a little more central in my tank, to decrease algae growth. My sand is algae free but my mushroom corals in the front of the tank have all stopped opening to their full extent and the largest one has been closed for the last 3 days...
I ordered a second light for the tank so I can cover the whole tank, but do you think I need to go back to 14 hours of light? Or could it be a water quality issue? I treated with garlic oil and herbtana for ich a few days ago.

The herbtana is probably what has your mushrooms upset, most need very little light and can even go for very long periods without lighting.

Garlic is for soaking foods to increase appetite not for curing any ailments.;)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

    I agree.

Mushrooms do not typically need that much light.

Perhaps run some carbon, and reduce the lighting hours and do a water change.

Yea mushrooms don't need a lot o light. I have to keep mine under a ledge so it cuts back on the light he gets so he will open up.

Is the flow getting to him??

Thanks for your replies, I only put 2 drops of the garlic...i thought it was labeled to add to the tank as well as for improving appetite.. I just did a 15% water change and my skimmer took off a bunch of stuff.
=/ about the mushrooms, hopefully the herbtana disappears soon, I thought it was reef safe.

I have some bags of activated charcoal I bought but never used for my canister filter. You think tossing those into my sump would make a difference?

They claim that it's reef safe. Who really knows.

Everyday my mushrooms look worse, they are barely opening now...and my kenya trees dont look great either arggg. I hate the stuff, yesterday my protein skimmer went crazy and overflowed into the tank (fortunately I had just emptied it). I feel stupid for adding some weird white fluid that smelled terrible into a nice reef tank with RODI water...
