Yes, Once againg ssomeone starts a thread about the somuch talked MP10. As must of you know I got a 60gal cube in which I got one EVO Koralia 1050 and I'm looking on adding another EVO 1400 and a wavemaker controller but I want to know if you guys think I'm better off espending the extra $$ and get the MP10 to add to my Koralia. That way a have a constant flow and the intermission from the MP10. Please advise.

Well i would think a vortech would be great addition to your tank. However i think if your going to get one, you may as well get the mp40. I know its more expensive, but i just dont know if the mp10 would be enough. I have an mp10 and a hydor 245gph on my 27 gallon cube.

But to answer your question, yes youd be better of spending the money on an mp10 over the additional pump and controller. The MP10 is supposedly underrated and actually closer to like 2000 GPH at full power.

Vortechs are one of the most amazing pieces of equipment on any tank. If you can afford them, definitely pull the trigger.

However, you won't see their true glory until you have 2+ on the tank, sync'd together.

Evolved brings up a good point, to get the true use out of the Ecosmart modes you should have more than one pump. So in a perfect world it would be awesome if you could get two mp10's on your 60 gallon. one on the side wall and one on the back wall maybe. This is just my opinion.

This kinda makes me want another mp10 on my 27 gallon, overkill? maybe

Maybe just the two mp10s? That would a turnover rate of 66x at full power on both pumps.
