Last night I fumbled setting the night mode and I had to reset both my pumps.

This was a cursing affair as I could not get the pumps to communicate with each other - that is, set the master and get the correct color sequence. This was odd as the drivers were about 8 inches away from each other.

I love my Vortechs. I hate those buttons. There.. I said it. :)

Back to the wireless thing... I followed the instructions several times to no avail, eventually I came to a theory and completely took the covers off (front and back).

I tried again and was able to set the master on the first try. ::)

So 1st of all... anyone else have this issue?
2nd - is it the buttons or wireless interference?

I love these pumps but truly hate programming with those buttons. :p
    Love to see improvements there.

I havent had the issue of resyncing them, but fumbling with the buttons i completely agree with. I am pretty color blind so i have a hard time setting this thing :(

from your problem it sounds like a wireless connection issue, i have had similiar problems with a wireless router. I am thinking the problem might be similiar in the memory needs to be reset to sync together properly. Maybe this might be the reason.

agreed the buttons could have been changed out, i wish they would have LED's and Labels right on the controller, so i know what mode is what and not have to look in the manual, and trying to get it programmed with the buttons is a pain, that would be the ONLY complaint i have about the powerheads... everything else i absolutely love.. What they should do is make a controller that can control 4 powerheads of different combinations, and have them all hooked up that way. so we can adjust it from one place for all 4 and they will all do the same thing just in a different sequence!!
