I want to get an mp10w es for my 75G tank. This will not be the only source of flow in the tank. I want it so that I can have a wider amount of water movement on one half of my tank. This way I don't need to have 3 powerheads on one side of my tank all pointing in different directions to get the effect I want.

Will the mp10 be powerful enough to create wave motion through the entire tank? Will it be powerful enough to create enough flow for sps on the side of the tank that it will be placed on?

I don't like the mp40s because I have heard they can be noisy and they just seem large to me. I just don't like the idea of having this thing bulge from the side of my tank. Worse case scenario, I buy another mp10w es down the road and place it on the other side of my tank.

I had a mp10 for a min on my 90g. Truthfully the mp10 wasn't much on that big of a tank.
I now have a mp40 on my 65g and that thing kicks water like crazy.
Yes the 40 is a lot louder than the 10 but over the overflow and cooling fan noise its not horrible.
I think if your going to spend the money anyways just get bigger than the mp10.

As for looks I think the 10 would look about as distracting as the 40.
