    I came home from work the other day and noticed a few of my zoo's had a bite or two out of them most of which are now without a head more. More zoo's are being attacked but I'm still yet to find a culprett . The thing is I just added a new fish about the same time these events began to happen one of which is supposed to be "reef safe"... a lawn mower Blemmy. Has anyone had this problem with this fish? or should I seek blame on something else i.e Nudibrach, or somthing.

    I will post pics of the damage soon.... if there is anything left:(
    thankyou

    corals arent included in a lawnmowers diet. does he have any algae to eat (hair/diatoms/etc.) and do you put in some sea veggies every day or 2? maybe hes just trying to eat something or maybe you got rogue LMB, though i doubt that because ive never heard of coral eating LMBs.

    My LM blenny had never touched my Zoo's but his belly is fat so I know he has plenty to eat. I would agree with the other post as it may be hungry and trying to find food.

    I've never known of one harming anything before .. How old is the tank and did you use L/R and or sand ? I'd look somewhere else for the culprit ..

    Check your zoo's when they're closed for any small snails in them. It sounds like you could have some sundial snails. If you can't find any snails you might have a nudi cruising around eating them.

    I've got a lawnmower as well and he's never touched my corals including my zoos.

    My paramerters are
    Calcium = 500ppm
    Nitrate = 0.02ppm
    Salinity = 1.026
    Ammonia = 0.00
    temp = 78.1 in the morning 79.8 in the afternoon
    PH = I need to test still
    as for livestock I have 2 perc's two firefish 1 six line 1 lawn mower and a cleaner shrimp.

    I don't think it is the lawn mower blemmy but that is the only thing that has changed in the enviroment around the same time the zoa are being attacked. I also feed my lawn mower nori strips ( algee sheets) for food substitution.

    All the other corals in the tank are doing great ( other than my torch coral which I have been nuresing back to health from when I bought it)

    If you've got a magnifying glass, check for nudibranchs.
