Tonight will be a very long night I imagine.
Moving my tank to the new pad after work. D-Day has arrived.

    • The RO is not quite hooked up at new place.
    • The floor is not quite level.
    • I haven't quite figured out how to mount my new light fixture.
    • It has been very cold at night here for California. (I noted frost this morning)
    • I am doing this solo.

    GOOD TIMES! :)

It's a labor of love. Wish me luck!

Good luck Matt! I'm afraid to attempt moving my 46 from the main floor to my fish basement. I can't imagine a move to a new home!

Dude!! I've been off for a little bit, so I don't know if you did something to the floor or not, I'll look it up in a bit. I wish you good luck with the move. Maybe someone from the forums around that area will volunteer and give you a hand with the task. I remember moving my 55 from the living room to the kitchen wasn't fun, I ended up calling my mom to help me since nobody else was available at the moment.

Take it slow, and be careful. Remember that your fish will be alright if they have to be left in a smaller tank for 1 day.. so don't stress it!

    Best wishes!

    - Mag.

You shouldnt have any problems. Just make sure you have a well thought out plan going in to it and every thing should work out fine. Good luck and take your time.

Thanks all. I am definitely going to try to stay mellow during this and go slow. The worst thing I can do is break something stressing out.

I saw the frost on windshields this week - don't know if it counts for frost per se - but it is certainly cold at night and so I will bring the fish inside the truck with me.

I have certainly moved a tank or two in my day, but this one has me spooked for some reason. A lot of unknowns!
