    8x54W T5s on a 72g BF is great. I wouldn't go with anything else.

    hmmm ok lets see here lets say to put 4 more on there. That's gonna give you 12 x a54 watt. 12 x 54 = 648 watts of electricity or 2 x 250 watt mh = 500 watts of electricity and way better penetration than what you are going to get out of the t-5 set up. MH has its uses and this would be one of them.
