Here are some pics The idol got his top fin caught in my powerhead the day after I brought him home it doesn't seem to bother him too much I actually saw it happen I felt bad but he seems to not be too bothered by it.

+1 to the loneracer....:) lol.....I was thinking the same thing. The best thing about reef forums is let others take the risks for you...:)

I hope he works out for you Crabbyjim, I'd love to see him thrive in your tank. As for Salami99 real classy and supportive.

    Nice MI you have

Jim, you have so much support going for you! Remember to feed this fish often. It is a big fish with a big apetite but a small mouth and is a relatively slow feeder. I kept 2 autofeeders, one fed 10 min before to fill up the faster feeders, then the one meant for the idol with formula1+2 and NLspectrum medium pellets, etc. I fed 3x daily. Also, the type of food is key as well. As for the dorsal banner, it will grow back, then get really long (mine was almost 1 foot), break off, then grow again. Once my MI became my Reef Somali Warlord, I normalized the feedings. Attached is my fatso 3 month in my tank. Absolutely worth the hassels.
