    I just purchased a monti. cap. and if placed in the mid tank in front of a 350lph wavemaker and is 8" far from it...... is the flow too high for it? howmuch flow can it bare?

    the flow is continuous.. im not using any controller to randomize the flow...

    Depends on conditions like everything else. I have a few small caps that have been in my tank for about a month. 2 of them have about a 1/2 inch of new growth around the rim and the other has about 3/4 of an inch growth around the rim. The reds and purples usually grow really fast from my experience.
