Molted Hermit

    Should I remove the molted exoskeleton of the hermit from the water? Will it cause any adverse conditions?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I have never removed one and never had an issue.

    The hermit will most likely eat it in a day or two. That's always been my experience with any crustacean. It's been said that they do that to boost their calcium intake.
