Hey guys, some of you seen my Solana 34 gallon. I gotten so much more corals after my last update but have not posted them sorry lol

However I have a friend local reefer that I know that has a 57 gallon Oceanic Illumeta. He is moving to a smaller place and wanted to trade my tank for his tank.

So we are trading tanks tomorrow at tuesday. So stay tuned for a new upgrade tank!

And I will post my first expereince in changing tanks and what to do with live stocks.

    Thanks :)

I like the dimensions of the new 57G. It's a rimless too, so that's always a nice plus. :)

lol. I meant you and your friend are both getting new tanks.

Long story short...I was upgrading from 29 to 75. 75g shattered when I was drilling(didn't realise it was tempered) so now I am back to the 29g after all that work. :-/

At least now I have a 6 month old tank with no livestock and no problems...like starting a new tank but it's already set up and mature. :) Page 28 of my build explains what is happening with the 29g.

oh bummer sorry to hear that, that sucks :(
geez a tempered tank? must of cost alot, i tried to get a tempered glass for my metal halide awhile ago cus regular glass cracked, and it was 2x more expensive lol.

Good luck with your 29 gallon though, sorry to hear about the 75 gallon

I think it was tempered because they could use 1/4" glass rather than 3/8" like most 75s. It was made by Deep Blue. I got it for about 60% off. Dad paid $80.

Thanks, I have some big plans for the 29.
