Mk's Solana 34!

looked around the tank, the skimmer cylinder is not held in place, the glue is ripping off and is bearly intact by a 1 piece of glue thats about to get snapped off. Skimmer box had a crack, its a disaster

its not even a crack really, I can slide the broken piece off, its cracked back and front, and its big as my hand

 

That's too bad, Mkliza. I would expect Solana to be of better quality than this.

 

well i didnt buy directly from solana, got it from petsolutions. But ups is mainly the reason, I didnt know the truck came untill I heard a "THUMP!" in front of my door step. I went out to see what it was and it was my tank..and i thought.."this cant be good.."

 

Sorry about your problems. Call the place you ordered from and explain to them what happened. They should replace it for you.

 

just called, the ups is coming at monday, cant believe i need to wait a week for this tank to get there, and the new tank to come..probably 2 weeks..atleast thats how I think the process works

 

my tank is still in the box, havent taken out yet. I was looking around the tank, seeing all the filter medias, found 2 more cracks on the back of the tank around 4 inches long

Huge bummer, but I am sure it will be made right. Ahh the disappointment. :-(

You may be able to email to the vendor, and believe me if there is any dispute the first thing they will ask for is pictures. The happens frequently though, broken in shipping, they are used to it and usually replace without a problem.

 

Photos are proof of the cracks happening in shipping rather than after the tank got to you.
