    yeah im actually taking , well about to take it. Sean your good with photography. I own nikon d3000 and i only have stock lens, and 55-200mm VR lens. Is there a recommandation on taking pictures of fish tank? and some maybe zoomed ?

    So you mean as far as a full tank shot/general shot? Hold steady - use a tripod if you have one. Leave the flash off and use manual white balance. If you are a little better with the camera, try some new things like manual focus. this should give you the best control of the actual camera/what it sees.

    Or do you want macro shots? For a macro shot I would go with an 18-55mm lens.

    You've taken some nice shots. The tank is looking great.

    Just wondering...how much have you spent on the tank/equipment(not livestock)?

    Tank it self was $298 with 10% off coupon. $330 normally. And I got 50 dollar store live stock credit for buying this. But we will leave it $300

    Mp10 was $198 with 10% discount from big al, so estimate to $200

    Bought the 2 Sunbrite Slimline LED for $199 each so $398, $400 estimate

    Stand costed me $80 dollars with paint and brush and everything

    $980 dollars just on the equipment x.x
