MJ1200 Mod or Vortech MP20

    That is a great deal.

    I like the vortechs a lot, but they do make a lot more noise than you would expect a piece that costs that much to make.

    The actual wave making is a nice feature though.

    hmm well im not sure really.. all i have is regular powerheads. btw have you gotten your coral?

    I have the same 46 gallon bow front (still setting up). I was looking at these as well. So would I just need 1 MP20 for this tank?

    im not to worried about noise, i get it from the skimmer, i'm looking forward to the real waves

    yea i finally have zoas, but my tank will mainly have lps and sps

    i would think so unless you notice any deadspots and what to put a small powerhead in those areas, but i think one mp20 will be plenty

    yep vortech mine such be here in 4 days not sure if 20 or 40 but idont think i can wait til xmas to open it

    I noticed this thread a little late, but I have an MP20 on a 55 gallon. It makes NO noise. You have to have your ear right up to it to hear a slight whirring sound. I've heard that they only make noise if they are not aligned correctly, but some say they are noisier if you crank them all the way up. I don't have mine cranked up but I do have a Koralia at the opposite end because it doesn't make it all the way to the corners. In your tank it should do fine I would think. Just my 2 cents.
