that's what i'm thinking. The sad thing is though that a PH will have cost me just as much as my skimmer, that's kind of crazy, that would mean i would have all top of the line equipment

I'm most likely going to be capping my closed loop and going with a single mp40w on my 75. Better, more dispersed flow.

The bottom selection on the page is just for the wave timer. You could get just that an hook up your two maxis to it.

I think the mod would be a cheap way to get your flow up to par until you can afford a Vortech. Get your flow going and get tha tank full of coral. Drop in an MP20 later down the road.

that's what a realy good idea, i would be able to afford the mod now *or after the holidays* where as if i were to just stick with my two mj1200s it would be a long time until i could afford the mp20. And i really don't want flow holding me back from getting certain corals

Whats so bad about that? The peace of mind once everything is together and done and perfect is priceless, then you get to have fun stocking and not worrying if your equipment is good enough.

I was unable to use the MJ 1200 mod on my 46 bow. I couldn't find a position anywhere in the tank where it would not kick up a sand storm.

lol that is very true, and i don't want to go through the ohhh i really love that coral but i can't have it cause of my equipement

that's what i worry about the mj mod, too powerful. And i like the fact of the vortech that the settings are adjustable
