I have a large brown/white mithrax crab. Are they in general reef safe? I just added a new Fairy Wrasse and I did'nt see him tonight and I am worried. I have a Mnadarin so I would think he would attack him since hes slow if thecrab wanted to. Any good ways to get him out or should I leave him alone?

Look at the claws. The Emerald Mithrax has claw tips that are like flat disks, to better pinch hair algae. They are reef safe. I haven't seen a brown/white mithrax, but the claws will give you an indication of what he eats.

some predators won't mess with the mandarin due to the toxic, stinky slime on their body. that's why most critters won't mess with them.

Fairy wrasse has a tendency of hiding when first introduced to a tank. Mine hide for about a week and haven't seen eating during that time. Now he is out, eating and looking healthy.
