I bought a second cleaner about two weeks ago. A day or two later, I saw what looked like the molted skin from one of the two. Ever since then I have seen only one shrimp. At first I figured the second was hiding until his shell hardened, but now I'm starting to wonder. :-/

Anybody have a similar experience? I checked for ammonia this morning and had none. The rest of my parms looked good two days ago:

    Ph: 8.2
    sg: 1.023
    No2: 0
    No3: 0
    Am: 0
    ca: 490

    Thanks

Either hes hiding real good or got eaten by a fish. What fishes do you have? All of my shrimps(except cleaner) has gotten eaten by my eng. goby.

    It is still there.

They like to hide out a while after molting...waiting for new shell to harden up.

You will see in couple of days.

Do you have any crabs? I came home to my Sally Lightfoot snacking on my cleaner last week after a molt. Guess he picked the wrong cave to chill in. :(

I have an anemone crab and hermits, but I don't think he's the culprit.

I still like the hiding theory::) (wishfull thinking)
