Has anyone tried this? Know of anyone who has? It could have many advantages of an aquarium w/ a 4-sided view.

It will (*might) drive your fish up a wall...

I had a mirror behind my tank for like a week and my Yellow tang thought he needed to kick his own ass

I don't think it's a good idea either, my tang does the same thing when it can see it's reflection in the glass. Plus, i think it will become annoying quickly.

Probably a not a good idea... and seems kind of tacky. Not only do I think it would confuse your fish, but I think it would confuse you too! lol

Black/Blue backgrounds are the nicest. Look at GuitarMan's signature.... Classy!

Something different to try, dark window tint on the back wall.

I have dark window tint, the darkest you can possibly get and works pretty good. You can look through my 46 tank thread and see if you like it or not

    vote for black

besides think about it . if you put a mirror there you would have to look at urself and your fish would have to look at two of you from both sides ......SCARY

I only have one fish. And he can beat him self into the glass if he wants to; my bicolor is indestructible. I guess I just would really like to be able to see the other side of my rock, so many coral placement possibilities. It was just a thought...

And "class" is for squares. If it's good enough for my bedroom ceiling, I can put it behind my aquarium. ;)
