I was wondering how many people on here had a midas blenny and what your thoughts on them were. I was thinking of getting one for my 40B. I only have an occ. clown and firefish in there right now. Has anyone had problems with them nipping at a firefish? I was also looking at getting a yellow prawn goby.

I'm in the same boat as Jmblec. They are great fish with interesting personalities and are very active and somewhat comical. I think that adding one to your 40 Breeder wouldn't be a problem depending on your filtration setup and amount of live rock you have in your tank.

Coolest fish ever. Not agressive unless a fish invades his hole. The other fish eventially learn. He has never actually injured another fish. I would throw out all of my fish and coral for my midas. Actually maybe not my coral. Lets just say he has more personality than any fish you could get. Ever.

DIDDO! I have a "African Blue" Midas Blenny and LOVE him. They can keep up and aren't shy with 4 tangs and a couple male fairy wrasse in my tank. I have had two and both swim a ton and seem to not bother any other fish I have had with them. They are super fun fish!

Everyone who saw my guy in QT wanted him, it was funny..I told my friend you BETTER not sell him to someone else hehehe

My midas blenny is one of my favs. Great personality. Has his little rock hole he watches things, but an interesting swimmer in it's own right.

I've had a midas blenny in my 90 gallon for almost 2 years. He is awesome! One of my favorites. He is really active, has a great personality and is so beautiful when swimming. Mine has only been aggressive to one fish - a tailspot blenny. So you should be fine.
