Can't lower my return PVC as it is premade and came with my marineland tank with built in corner overflow.... Should I raise tank water level with the ball valve I have installed?

you'll have to do something to get your return just below water level I will bet. Just that one thing will give you the micro bubbles. I would like to see the pic as well.

Let me know if you need more pics to diagnose problem and help with solution. :)

Maybe trim the pvc pipe??? Get ore loc tite fittings to add to existing to make it up and over the tank corner plastic piece??

the return...I would actually get one or two more PVC elbows and drop it down some, then reattach the flow accelerator. My return is all PVC, so that's how mine is. I'm biased

Perhaps you have a hole or some kind of air getting into the return line. If you turn off your pump and check for the slightest leak that might be the thing. Like a venturi valve, if you're sucking air into the line, you create a mixture of air and water. Output will definitely be micro bubbles if the hole is very very small.

This is what I would do...AND like also mentioned above, check your lines for small holes 55gfowlr is correct in his post.
