    So i have 75lb of micro rock I will seed it with some live rock is that all I need to start it to cycle. I really don't want to put a dead shrimp in

    Yes that will definitely work. It might take a little longer though. If you want to speed it up a little bit, you can add something like Dr. Tim's One and Only or MB7.
