i have a freshwater thats crystal clear. now my DT isnt. i have a dragon goby that loves sifting through the sand and spreading it all over so i have sand in the water all the time. im also thinking im getting micro bubbles from some where. my inlet to my sump isnt in the water so its makeing big bubbles. if thats my problem easy fix. i just want a crystal clear tank. ive even gotten rid of LR by putting them else where in my system. but they both look the same so im not to sure what they are. i have tons of flow so i dont know if thats my problem from my return from my sump or pwrheads.

i too have micro bubbles and not sure why. i assume it has something to do with splashes from my overflow / return

What type of drain/return do you have setup? You said you were using an old filter for your overflow? Something is sucking air somewhere. The sand should settle out pretty fast, so I can't see that causing your problem unless it's new aragonite.

well i cant remember if i had this problem before i got the goby or not. i bought live sand and some of it is fine. so im not sure if its sand or bubbles. i got a coarser sand for my fuge and thats settled.

mine is almost 10months &the only spot i can see bubbles being formed is where my water flows over to my fuge. ive tried placing a plastic vented card with a sponge so water just glides down into the fuge but i still have many micro bubbles

zzzzzz we prob have same problem. bubbles forming with overflow and being drawn in by main pump, going into display tank, getting blown around by powerheads and being sucked back in to overflow without the bubbles ever popping. :(
