So how does everyone get water out of their tank. Pump? siphon? or what? Another newbie questions, how do you put it back in? I have a 34 gallon tank and will be doing 10% water change every week once my tank has cycled. Just want to see how everyone else does this maintenance.

3/8" hose siphon...right into good old Home Depot buckets.

Pour in slowly to return it.

Good WC plan! - will be easier if you just make it a marked 5 gallon plastic bucket change every week...quickly learn exact amount of salt needed each time you mix. ;)

Have fun....just did 30 gallons in my 125 and 5 gallons in 12 gallon NanoCube.

Try to do every 10 days or so, or when my corals telling me they want it done. :p

    What OmarD said.
I have 3 and 4 gallon buckets marked in gallon increments. I siphon debris and water out, and add new salt water by slowly pouring from a bucket. If I change out 10%, for instance, from my 45-gallon tank, I'll add 4 gallons (90% of what I removed). Then, I measure salinity and add either fresh water or salt water for the final 10%, depending on whether the salinity is high or low.

I think you should do it howerver you feel it is the easiest because that will make it easier on you and you will be more inclined to do it . I know if it was difficult I would not do it as frequently and my tank would suffer.
