is your 6-line or any other wrasse still in the tank? I forget if you were the one adding a mela with a 6-line already? My Xmas wrasse hid for 3 weeks until I got my other wrasse out.

I'm fairly positive it won't come out for long periods with the 6-line in there. I never ever saw mine, until a day after I got rid of my 6-line, I saw an eyeball in the sand and then it emerged, I was amazed it was still alive. I caught my 6-line super easy with the inverted bottle trick pretty easily.

I guess you can stir around, hopefully you'll find it, I've had 0 luck with mixing wrasses, they're so intolerant of one another.

I don't want to say you're wrong, so I'll say I beg to differ. ;D

It's all a matter of what you mix with what. Now if you said sixlines are so intolerant of other wrasses, I'd agree with you. I'd never have anything of the Pseudocheilinus genus. They're all notorious bullies

I currently have six different wrasses in my tank, 5 different species.

To the OP - your melaneous will likely stress out and die with the sixline in the tank. And stirring around for it will do nothing but stress it out further.

agree, I haven't had much success with the mixing as I had those mainly in the Pseudo genus so I'm def wrong on that you "can't" be successful. Lots of the nicer wrasses I haven't gotten since they are known jumpers and I couldn't chance it with my open tops.

I do have a Leopard and Harlequin Tusk that get along perfectly, so the 6-line has really ruined my wrasse compatibility thinking :). Sad too cause it's a gorgeous fish and was peaceful towards all my other tankmates.

@muggle see your other thread for the inverted bottle trick.
