What do you mean it's crashing? What's going on with it?

What fish do you have left and what option do you have for housing them?

a 100% water change will not be a mini cycle. You are pretty much starting over. You need to find out what is the problem, before doing this. Depending on what the problem is, I have see people replacing sand beds & soaking their LR to get rid of toxins.

Normally I am against huge water changes as many on here know. In your circumstance however I would say a huge water change is in order. Not the volume you are speaking of. I would change 50% (try to locate the remains of the anemone and remove it), add live bacteria at double the marine dose, wait 3 days and do another 50% water change. Keep running the carbon and add some ammosorb or other suitable media. If you can get some Marine-Max, add it to the QT. When re-introducing the fish back to display, add Marine-Max to the display the day before.

If the remaining fish show no signs of disease I think I would go with a 50% water change and also run alot of carbon. If you don't have a reactor or a cannister fiter to run the carbon it might be a good time to get a reactor rather than buying another q/t tank.If ick is the problem than removing and treating the fish might be a better option,in which case a larger water change would be fine as long as you keep your rock and substrate wet to save the existing bacteria. If you do this you should also leave the tank fishless long enough to ensure the ick is gone.I think 6-8 weeks is what most reccomend.

i dida 50% wc tues. 1 of the 2 clowns i had died last night.i coulnt find any remains to the nem. i dont think the 100% wc wud kill all the bacteria ...id have 90 gallons ready to refil as soon as i got the water level into the sand. i orderd a reactor it willb here sun.i am running carbon via my hob filter for the time being.
