    hello people,
new member here, I have built my own tank it measures 30 wide 24 high 72 long, so about 200 gallons. I have 2 fluval fx5's 110lbs live sand 80 lbs live rock. I have no fish at this point as its cycling ( was freshwater as of few days ago)
id like to know what filter media I should be using as it currently has bio media from the freshwater set up.

I have an FX5 for my 90 gallon and am actually not going to use it. The only reason i MAY use it for is to act as a reactor. Ill probably run carbon through it but no sponges or mechanical filtration as this will become a nitrate factory. Even with carbon I will be having to clean it regularly as as you know cleaning the FX5 is a #%$$ IMO.

thanks for reply ive since added a 90 gal sump 36 watt uv twist and keeping the fx5's with reactor media. live rocks looking really good. im on to stocking ideas, id like to add picasso, rectangular & goldenheart triggers with a porc puffer and if i can find one a striped burrfish. would these all get along ?.
