    interesting thread

    my philosophy is

if the fish is just showing who the boss is, with the odd flash or chase but doing no damage to the other fish and this displaying or chasing is not constanly occuring
then I accept that as the order of things

if on the other hand, damage is being done, or the display and chasing seems to occur frequently
then its time to seperate the participants by deciding which one stays and which one goes, for the harmony to return to the aquarium

There was damage done.. but it hasn't progressed any, they seem to get along now, the clown allows the angel to swim near him and pick at algae.. I don't see any chasing at all.. maybe they just got it all over with in one night!

Yes the good news is that after time they will grow back, the only advice i have to offer is try taking them out, rearranging your rock and then put them back in with the most aggresive being last. What it does is throws them off their game,at that point they are all "new". They then have to establish new homes and territories but it works really well. putting the most aggressive one in last gives the others a chance to find a home , hiding spot etc before they have a chance to get picked on again or not. If that doesnt work decide which one you like the most and trade the other one back to your lfs

Not sure.. and I dont know.. I REALLY don't want to take it apart, isn't there a better way to catch a fish than tear it all appart? im pretty patient...
