It is a dry heat, yeah right !

Yup, and I hope for the best, but I would be surprised if this was the last you see of aggression between the 2 or by the angel.

    Good luck.

i do agree this is something a bigger tank would help, but as long as you dont add any new fish and your existing fish arent killing one another youll be fine. a little aggression here and there is common in any tank

Unfortunately aggression and fish killing each other are the same thing in an aquarium.

hardly, there can be a few nips here and there when a fish enroaches on another ones territory, but merciless biting and chasing until the fish is lethargically sitting in the corner is a sign of extreme aggression.

I disagree. All fish are capable and willing to kill a rival if need be.

did i say they werent capable? i said that it was only a major issue if the fish was persistant. ive had lots of fish aggression in my tanks but its just a little nip here and there when they get in eachothers way. i know all fish have the potential to be hostile but that in no way means they will be.

i actually just put a small purple tang in my 75 and i have a little bit smaller pygmy (purple with the yellow face) and the angle is terrorizing the tang, which brought me here, it seems like chasing but im already noticing some fin damage, i figure the tang would stick up for himself maybe still a little shy? just aclimated for an hour but i think the color is making the angle mad. should i worry?

I suggest that you bring your tone down a notch. What you were implying was that it is unusual for a fish to persistently attack a fish until it was dead or near death. I am saying that it is not.
