So my angel and my female clown must have had it out last night. The angel has a chunk out of its back tailfin and the clowns top fin is messed up :( it saddens me.. they don't seem to currently be fighting... Do you think they will continue to fight? I just added the clowns last night the angle has been in there for about two weeks. Also the will the angels tailfin grow back?

Thats odd, what kind of clown & how big?

It could just be new addition frustration. I would keep an eye on them & not jump into evicting anyone just yet.

Yes it should grow back, but it would be good to keep an eye on them for further disagreements, as well as to see if any sort of infection sets in.

what type of angel is it? but angels can be very territorial , so not a real surprise there was a disagreement. i would think they will eb fine once they figure out theyre neighbours now

    good luck

keeping your fish really well fed may help to curtail some of the aggression . . .

I fed them to see how they reacted and if they would fight over food.. they all seemed to do well.. Its a Half black angel, it love to just graze all day back and fourth in the tank, but its not doing so today.. Its mostly hiding in the rock work, though it did come out for feeding, The female clown is about 3 inches. the male is about two. But he's not beat up.. he's not much of a fighter... I hope things will calm down it seems okay now although I would like it if my angel would come out... :/

Gotta agree with Vinny. Clowns are very territorial, especially the females. A 40 gallon tank isn't much space for 2 clowns and an angel.
