I posted this in the lighting section and just wanted to put it here too to see what people think. I kinda need to make a decision on this quick for one set of these if I am buying or not. Thanks!

What do you guys think of these lights?
Aquarium Lighting & LED Lights: ecoxotic Stunner LED Strip

    I have MH right now and supplement with 4 - 55w PC's. I am thinking of changing the 4 - 55w PC's to 4 of these strips. 2 actinic(453nm Blue (Mfg# 8010), and 2 daytime (8,000°K White/453nm Blue (Mfg# 8011)

Do you think its a wise move?
Do you think these lights are better than what I have now?
Is it worth it? I am getting close to changing my PC bulbs and for the cost of these I can almost come out even.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

    IMO

If you have halides - Im not sure of need for any white supplemental lighting is negated
I understand the blues - ability to have the extra hour or so either side of full daylight to achieve a replication of dawn/ dusk or moonlighting

The LEDS will save running costs, and last longer (well they should)
and as PC lamps may eventually be phased out which might make availability an issue later when the need to change lamps is upon you

adequate reasons the make the change IMO
