    I have a question on feeding my lil clam, Should i offer phytoplankton?
    If so what phytoplankton, Marine Snow?

    i really dont think theres any need to "feed" it. it will process food through your water.

    I never feed my clam, they are usually just fine without it.

    Clams eat phytoplankton when small, <2", and it can be agged directly to the water column. If larger no feeding is required as long as its getting enough light. Like I said, maximas are on rock in the ocean, croceas are on sand. Get that thing high up on the rock. and take pics!

    I have a 2.5 inch maxima. I never fed mine, got it when it was 1.75-2" over 4 months ago.

    I was told since's its a baby clam, I could give it phytoplankton. Would do you think?

    you would probably get additional growth with dosing the tank with phyto, its just probably not needed. But go for it, a lot of sps with small polyps will process that stuff too.

    Alright I will go out later on today and buy some, I have some sps, polyps, hard corals, feather duster mushrooms,& My new clamy ;D
