    My friend is selling me a clam but I doesn't fully come out that I have seen, He has had in there for 2 days plus he did a water. Any thoughts? Also it's 2 inches,is this normal?

    he has just bought the clam? it might still be acclimating to his tank. if it doesnt fully open soon, i wouldnt be buying it off him.

    It has been 1 hour, it has opens a lil did you think it's because it's small?

    slow acclimation. drip or very slow water acclimation (put in one third cup of your tank water every 5 min till full. (one hour at least)

    Alright this is what im doing, He is about 2 inches. Is this why he don't fully come out?

    Know matter what the size a healthy clam should fully open up, just give it some time to get use to your lights and acclimation.

    Alright I drip acclimated it for 1 hour, When I put my clam in the lights where off.
    Also my hermit crabs are on the clams shell, Will this irritate my clam?
